An office solves the hardest problem in Indian home delivery: somebody is always there to take the parcel. It creates a different problem in exchange, and the two are rarely weighed against each other before the address gets typed.
Why an office works so well
There is a reception desk, a security register and a person whose job includes signing for things. No missed attempt, no call from a courier standing outside a locked gate, no parcel sitting at a hub for three days waiting for somebody to be home.
For anything going to a person who lives alone, works long hours, or lives in a building where the guard will not accept parcels, an office address is simply the more reliable one.

That is fine for a print pack and awkward for the thing we most often make. A magazine about a relationship, a book about somebody’s parents, a deck of cards about a marriage — none of those is a desk object, and none of them wants to be opened between two meetings while a colleague asks what it is.

The four things to get right
The name colleagues use. Reception matches a parcel to a person on a floor list, not to a legal name on an identity document. If everybody at work says Rhea and the order says Radhika, the parcel goes onto the wrong shelf.
The company name, and the floor. In a shared office building the company name does more work than the street address. Put it on the line above.
A phone number that is answered during working hours — the recipient’s, not yours, if you want them called rather than you.
Working days. Dispatch is weekly, on Mondays, and transit runs 3 to 5 days across most of India, so plan for the parcel to land midweek rather than gambling on a Saturday. What happens after you order →
The failure nobody plans for
Hybrid working. Three days a week in the office is normal now, and a courier does not know which three.
The parcel arrives on the Thursday they work from home, reception holds it, and a gift timed for a Friday birthday gets collected the following Tuesday. If somebody’s office attendance is not fixed, an office address is a worse bet than a home one — which is the opposite of what it looks like.

If it is meant to be a surprise
An office delivery is a good surprise and a poor secret. Reception knows, the person at the next desk knows, and somebody usually mentions it before it is opened.

Is a workplace address more reliable than a home address in India? For the first delivery attempt, usually. Reception signs and nothing is missed. For everything after that it depends on how often the recipient is actually in the building.
How should I write the address for a large company? Company name, floor or department, then the recipient as colleagues know them. In a shared tower the floor matters more than anything after the pin code.
Will reception open it? They should not, and mostly they do not. What they will do is put it on a shelf under a name, which is why the name has to be the recognisable one.
