Can You Gift Wrap It?

Yes. What that means when a parcel ships across India, when wrapping helps and when it works against you, and what to do if it goes straight to the recipient.

Yes. Ask when you order and it ships wrapped.

Worth knowing what that actually means for something travelling across India in a courier network, because wrapping and shipping pull in slightly different directions.

What arrives

Everything is hand-packed in Noida and posted in protective outer packaging — that part is not optional and is what stops a book arriving with bent corners. Gift wrapping sits inside that.

So the recipient opens a plain shipping parcel and finds a wrapped object in it, rather than a wrapped object coming through the post looking like a wrapped object. That is deliberate: decorative paper on the outside of a parcel does not survive a sorting facility.

When it is worth asking for

When it ships straight to the recipient. This is the main case. You are not there to wrap it, so wrapping is the only way the object arrives as a gift rather than as a delivery.

When it arrives close to the date. One less thing to do the night before.

When someone else hands it over. A sibling, a colleague, a friend collecting it on your behalf.

When to skip it

When you want to check it first. If it comes to you, you may want to look through the book before it goes — and it is worth doing. Wrapping it means unwrapping it.

When you are adding something. A card, a letter, something small alongside. Easier to wrap the whole set yourself.

When the wrapping is part of the gesture. If you would rather wrap it badly yourself than have it wrapped neatly by strangers, that is a real preference and often the right one.

The note question

If it is going straight to the recipient, they need to know who it is from. Say so when you order — a wrapped parcel from an unknown sender is a puzzle rather than a gift, and this is the commonest thing people forget on surprise deliveries. Delivering to someone else →

What it does not change

Not the price of the object, not the flat ₹70 delivery, and not the timeline — 5 to 14 days from order to doorstep, 5 to 12 to Delhi NCR either way. Wrapping happens at packing, which is after everything that actually takes time.

Frequently asked

Do you gift wrap orders? Yes. Ask when you order and it ships wrapped, inside the usual protective outer packaging.

Will the courier damage the wrapping? No, because the wrapping is inside the shipping packaging rather than outside it. Decorative paper does not survive a sorting facility on its own.

Can you include a note saying who it is from? Say so when you order. For a surprise delivery it matters more than people expect.

Does gift wrapping delay the order? No. It happens at packing, after every stage that takes time.

Should I wrap it myself instead? If it is coming to you and you want to check the book first, or you are adding a card, yes. Wrapping is most useful when it ships straight to the recipient.
