Personalised Gifts for Parents in India

Your parents have a shoebox of photographs and a phone full of pictures nobody has organised. Personalised gifts for parents land harder than anything off a shelf because the good photos have never been printed — from their wedding to last Diwali, in one magazine on the coffee table.

All four take scanned photographs as happily as phone photos — and the shoebox usually has better material than the camera roll.

For her

Gift ideas for mom.

A personalised photo diary made as a gift for a mother, with family photos printed inside
Photo DiaryFrom ₹699 · lies flat, actually writable

The family magazine is the one that gets shown to visitors — but build it around her, not around the family. Her wedding photos, her before-kids photos, the ones where she is the youngest person in the frame. Most children have never seen those printed at any size.

  • The family magazine, from her wedding to last Diwali, one era per spread.
  • A Photo Diary for the mother who writes things down — printed spreads up front, lined pages and a ribbon marker after.
  • A polaroid pack of the grandkids, from ₹270. On the fridge within the hour.
For him

Gift ideas for dad.

Fathers are the hardest people in India to buy for, and the reliable answer is the travel magazine: the car journeys, the hill stations, the same beach across fifteen years and three different cameras. Route maps and dates do more for him than captions about feelings.

  • The Travel Magazine of every family trip — maps, dates, the lot.
  • The Hard Cover Album for a milestone: hardbound, lay-flat, 250 GSM pages, from ₹1299.
  • A Photo Card Deck for the low-key father — 27 or 52 cards, one memory each, no display required.

The big one

The 25th anniversary gift for parents.

The silver jubilee is the biggest reason people order for their parents — and worth doing properly rather than deciding on the morning of. The format that works:

  • One spread per five years, so twenty-five years becomes five chapters.
  • The original wedding album photos, scanned and reprinted at a decent size for the first time.
  • Messages from siblings, cousins, and the friends who were at the wedding.
  • The houses they lived in, in order.
  • A closing letter from the children.

Most silver-jubilee orders land between 24 and 40 pages — 96 to 160 photos, which sounds like a lot until you open the shoebox. Printed on a 300 GSM matte cardstock cover with 170 GSM non-glare smooth inner pages. The other milestones live on the anniversary gifts page.

The practical bit

Working with old and scanned photographs.

☀️

Daylight, no flash

Lay the print flat near a window. Flash puts a white blowout in the middle of every glossy photo.

📐

Shoot straight down

Phone parallel to the print. Angles are hard to correct and soften the whole image.

🔍

Fill the frame

Crop in camera, not later. Resolution spent on the table around the photo is resolution lost.

📄

Send as documents

On WhatsApp, use Document rather than Photo so nothing is recompressed on the way to us.

🔧 What we can and cannot fix

Colour casts, general fading, small tears, dust and mild crookedness — fixable. A photo that is genuinely out of focus, or so small there is no detail left — not fixable, and we will say so before you pay. We would rather run a photo small on the page than blow up something that will not hold. Family in different cities? One shared album, one deadline, one person collecting. Dispatched every Monday, then 2–3 days to Delhi NCR, 3–5 days across the rest of India — give yourself a fortnight of slack before the date.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

A photo magazine or hardbound album built from family photographs, including the old printed ones. It starts at ₹499 for an 8-page magazine and ₹1,299 for a 20-page hardcover album.
Yes, and most orders for parents include them. Photograph the print flat in daylight without flash, fill the frame, and send it on WhatsApp as a document. We will tell you honestly which ones will hold up at print size.
A magazine covering the twenty-five years — roughly one spread per five years, the original wedding photos reprinted properly, and a page of messages from siblings and cousins. Most silver jubilee orders run 24 to 40 pages.
Yes. Make one shared album, give everyone a deadline, and send us the folder. We handle the choosing and the layout, and the person ordering approves the final proof.
About four per page. A 16-page magazine needs roughly 64 photos and a 40-page one about 160. Send more than you need — part of the work is deciding which ones earn a full spread.
