- One spread per five years, so twenty-five years becomes five chapters.

The practical bit
Working with old and scanned photographs.
Daylight, no flash
Lay the print flat near a window. Flash puts a white blowout in the middle of every glossy photo.
Shoot straight down
Phone parallel to the print. Angles are hard to correct and soften the whole image.
Fill the frame
Crop in camera, not later. Resolution spent on the table around the photo is resolution lost.
Send as documents
On WhatsApp, use Document rather than Photo so nothing is recompressed on the way to us.
🔧 What we can and cannot fix
Colour casts, general fading, small tears, dust and mild crookedness — fixable. A photo that is genuinely out of focus, or so small there is no detail left — not fixable, and we will say so before you pay. We would rather run a photo small on the page than blow up something that will not hold. Family in different cities? One shared album, one deadline, one person collecting. Dispatched every Monday, then 2–3 days to Delhi NCR, 3–5 days across the rest of India — give yourself a fortnight of slack before the date.
