Last updated: September 2026. What happens between your order and your doorstep, stage by stage — and flat ₹70 delivery anywhere in India.
Everything The Print Story makes is personalised and made to order — nothing sits on a shelf waiting for you to buy it. So an order moves through four stages: a designer lays it out, you approve the proof, we print and bind it, and it goes out with our weekly dispatch. A magazine you designed yourself skips the first two: we check your file, you confirm it, and it goes to print.
Where we deliver, and what it costs
We ship with India's established couriers — Bluedart, Delhivery and DTDC — so your parcel is tracked from our studio to your door wherever you are.
1.1 One flat fee: ₹70 per order, to every pincode in India. No surcharge for distance, and no surprise at checkout.
1.2 Where we reach: every serviceable pincode in the country — metros, tier-2 and tier-3 towns alike.
1.3 India only: we do not ship internationally at the moment. Orders can only go to an Indian delivery address.
The four stages, and where the time goes
We print and dispatch in a weekly batch, every Monday. Order by Friday and your piece is designed, proofed, printed and dispatched on the coming Monday; an order placed on Saturday or Sunday goes out the Monday after. From there it is courier transit. We would rather state this plainly than quote a single number we cannot keep.
Design & your approval
Our Noida designer prepares a full PDF proof and sends it on WhatsApp. Ask for changes if you want something edited — nothing prints without your approval. Reply to the proof when it arrives and your order stays on that Monday's dispatch; only an approval that comes very late moves it to the following Monday. For magazine printing, this stage is a check of the file you send instead: nothing is designed, and it prints once you confirm it.
Printing & binding
Once approved, your piece is printed and bound in time for the Monday dispatch.
Monday dispatch — Friday cutoff
Orders placed by Friday go out on the coming Monday. An order placed on Saturday or Sunday falls after the cutoff and ships on the following Monday. This is the part most likely to surprise you, so please plan gifts around it.
In transit (2–5 days)
Sent by air/surface courier with live tracking: 2–3 days to Delhi NCR, 3–5 days across the rest of India, counted from the Monday we dispatch.
In practice: for most orders, expect roughly one to two weeks from the day you order to the day it arrives — driven mainly by which side of the Friday cutoff you order on, and how far the parcel travels. If you have a fixed date to hit, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
