Three months later nobody gives them anything. That gap is the most underused slot in Indian gifting, and it happens to be the only moment when the wedding photographs actually exist.
Why later is better
The photographs exist. On the wedding day nobody has them. The professional set arrives weeks afterwards and then sits on a drive, unprinted, indefinitely.
There is no pile. A gift arriving in month three is the only gift in the house that month. It gets opened properly, by two people, with time.
The house has settled. They know what they have, what was duplicated and what is actually going to live where.
Nobody expects it, which is most of the effect.

How late is too late
