It comes up most often after a wedding: both sets of parents want an album, and one exists. Also after a memorial, a milestone anniversary, or any book about a person with several children.
The decision is easier and cheaper if it is made before design starts.
Why the timing matters
An album is a design plus a print run. The design is the expensive part and it happens once; additional copies are printing.
Ordering three copies together is one design and three prints. Ordering one now and two in four months is one design, one print, and a scramble — because the files are held for seven days after dispatch and then permanently deleted.

The delivery point catches people: three copies to one house is one ₹70. Three copies to three cities is three orders and ₹210.
Should each copy be different?
Usually no, and for a reason beyond cost.
Identical copies are the same object, which is the point — three households holding the same book is a shared thing. Personalising each one turns it into three different books that happen to overlap, and it triples the design work.
The exception: a dedication page changed per copy is a small variation that carries real weight and does not disturb anything else.

Cheaper alternatives to a second album
A full second album is ₹1,299 upward. Two things that often serve better:

Can I order more than one copy of an album? Yes, and ordering them together is cheapest — one design, several prints.
Can I order a second copy later? Within seven days of dispatch, while the files still exist. After that the design has to be rebuilt from scratch.
