The four that land
The year, chronologically. Including the ordinary weeks. A book of only the good days is duller than one with the fortnight you both had flu and the argument about the sofa.
The months before the wedding. Everyone has the wedding photographs — a professional made those and they are already an album. Almost nobody has the flat full of boxes, the tasting where the food was bad, the arguing about caterers. That is the book only you can give her.
The first flat. Empty rooms before the furniture arrived, the mattress on the floor, the kitchen you hated. Nobody photographs this deliberately, everyone has three or four, and they date better than anything staged.
A diary rather than a finished book. Year one printed at the front, blank lined pages after it. It is the only format here that she continues, which suits an anniversary that is explicitly about a beginning.

How many photographs you need
About four fill a page, so a first year usually wants 32 to 64 — an 8 to 16 page magazine at ₹499 to ₹599.
Year one is often thinner than people expect once they start counting, and that is fine. A full 8-page book beats a padded 20-page one and costs ₹150 less. Count before you choose a size.

What the captions should say
This is where a first-year book succeeds or falls flat, and it costs nothing to get right.
“Cherish these beautiful memories” is worse than a blank page — it announces that nobody knew anything specific about the picture. “The Tuesday the geyser broke and we ate outside” is the whole gift.
Five or six concrete things — a place, a date, the running joke, the thing that went wrong — carry an entire book. Write them badly; a designer shapes them.
Timing, which is where these go wrong

An anniversary is a fixed date you have known for a year. That makes ordering late the commonest failure here rather than an unlucky one. Two weeks is comfortable; three days is a gift card, and we will say so rather than take the order.
When to give something else
When she has named something. A stated wish beats every idea here, and first anniversaries are an occasion people are often direct about.

When you are travelling anyway. An experience together may be the better gift, and the book can wait for year two — that is a real option rather than a consolation.
