Below about ₹500 a head, a team gift is decided by money: what can be bought at all, once delivery is paid for. Around ₹1,000 a head, that stops being true. The budget is now large enough to give every person something made for them alone — and the thing that runs out first is not money but time.
So the real question at this band is not what can we afford. It is how personal should this be, because each step up in personalisation costs weeks rather than rupees.
What ₹1,000 buys, delivered
Delivery is flat ₹70 an address, which matters more here than it looks: a gift shipped to fifty separate homes has ₹70 of each head’s budget already spent before anything is printed.

The magazine tops out at 32 pages inside the band when each copy goes to a home address, because the 36-page one at ₹999 crosses ₹1,000 with its delivery. Choose identical when the thing being marked was shared
A launch, a hard year, a merger survived, an offsite. When everyone lived through the same thing, the same record is not generic — it is accurate. One well-made book about the team, one copy each, is the cheapest of the three and often the best one.
It also leaves room in the budget. At ₹1,000 a head, an identical 24-page magazine at ₹699 plus ₹70 delivery leaves about ₹230 a head — enough for a modest team lunch, and more if the books are handed out at it and the ₹70 is saved. Choose a page each when everyone contributed differently
The middle option is the one most teams of ten to thirty should look at first. Everyone gets the same book, with a page in it for each person — their photograph, what they worked on, one line written about them by a colleague.
Nobody compares gifts, because everyone holds the same object, and everyone finds themselves inside it. It costs more than an identical book only because it has more pages: 12 to 16 pages (₹549 to ₹599) for about ten people, 32 pages (₹899) for about thirty. Past thirty it no longer fits ₹1,000 a head, and our largest magazine is 40 pages, so a bigger team cannot each have a page in one book. Choose one each when the people are few and the reason is theirs
Twenty-five years of service. A leadership team of six. The people leaving after a closure, once everything owed to them is settled. When the occasion belongs to each person separately, the gift should too.

⚠️ The limit is collecting, not printing. A book per person means twenty photographs and some memories per person, gathered from their colleagues. For thirty people that is a month of somebody’s evenings. Plan it, or choose the page-each version instead.
