Valentine’s week runs 7 to 14 February — eight days, each with its own small convention. Most of them want something inexpensive and specific. Only one wants the real gift, and if that gift has to be made rather than bought, late January is your deadline.

The deadline, which is the real content of this page
Order by the last week of January.
Valentine’s Day is the tightest deadline in the Indian gifting calendar for one structural reason: the date is fixed, and everyone realises at the same time. Unlike a birthday, there is no staggering.
Made-to-order work takes 5 to 14 days from order to doorstep, 5 to 12 to Delhi NCR. We dispatch once a week, on Mondays — a Friday order catches that week’s dispatch, a Saturday order waits for the next.
Working backwards from 14 February: order by roughly 28 January to be comfortable, and by 4 February at the absolute latest. After that, buy something off a shelf. We will tell you the same thing on WhatsApp rather than take the order.

What to do on the free days
Propose Day (8th). Say the thing. If you are already together, say the specific thing you have not said — this is the one day of the eight with actual content.
Promise Day (11th). A promise that costs you something and that you then keep. Written down, because a written one is harder to quietly drop.
Hug and Kiss Day (12th, 13th). Buy nothing. These are not gifting occasions and treating them as such is how the week starts to feel commercial rather than affectionate.
Teddy Day (10th). Skippable. If you must, make it a joke rather than an earnest soft toy — she has enough teddy bears, which is the founding observation of this entire product category.

When a made gift is the wrong call
A very new relationship. Six weeks in, a full retrospective reads heavier than intended. Mark one specific thing — the first trip, the concert. ₹270 to ₹499.
When she told you what she wants. Buy that.
After early February. Nothing made to order will arrive. A card now saying the real gift is coming, and the keepsake in March, works better than it sounds — and buys you a second occasion.
When you have almost no photographs. A print pack of what exists, or something ordinary chosen well.
