Why thirty is usually enough
A wall of thirty gets read. A wall of sixty gets scanned.
That is the whole argument, and it holds in rooms of every size. Past about forty prints the eye stops treating them as individual photographs and starts treating them as a texture, which is a decorative effect rather than a personal one.

When to order more

A set split between people. Six friends, five prints each, from one order of thirty. Or a hundred split between four households.
Duplicates on purpose. Two copies of the twelve best ones, so a second household gets the same wall.
A long corridor or a stairwell. The only architecture that genuinely absorbs sixty.
The arithmetic that catches people out
You will not have thirty photographs you love. Almost nobody does.
What most people have is about twelve they love, another fifteen that are good, and then a gap. That is fine and it is worth knowing before you sit down to choose — the last few are always harder than the first twenty.

Splitting one pack
The use that makes thirty go furthest, and it is worth planning at the point of ordering rather than afterwards.
Six people, five prints each. A group who were all there, one order, and everybody gets the ones they are in.
Two households, fifteen each. Parents in one city and a sibling in another, from a single ₹270 order.
Twenty on a wall, ten given away. The version most people end up at without deciding to — prints leave a wall, and it is better to plan for it than to lose the good ones off the grid.
The reason to decide first is the choosing: a pack meant to be split wants photographs that work individually, not thirty that only make sense as a set.
