What makes the twentieth genuinely different is technical, and nobody warns you about it: twenty years of a marriage sits across three eras of photograph that do not talk to each other.
The three eras

Each era fails differently, which is why gathering twenty years takes longer than gathering ten twice.
What to do about each
The prints. Photograph them with a phone in daylight, flat, no flash. Good enough for almost everything. This is also the only copy that exists, so it is the part worth doing first.

The WhatsApp ones. ⚠️ Ask for the originals. A photograph that reached you through WhatsApp has been compressed, and no amount of design recovers it. The person who took it still has the full-size file, and they will send it if asked.
What to give
Twenty years does not fit a magazine evenly. Two structures work:
One spread per year, twenty spreads. A 40-page album at ₹1,599 square or ₹1,699 A4. Forces an even distribution across a period where the early years are thin and the recent ones are overwhelming.
Two decades, two books. A 24-page magazine each at ₹699, which lets the first decade be a smaller, rougher object than the second — which is honest, because that is what the material is.

What a twenty-year book looks like inside
The structural problem is that the material is wildly uneven — a handful of photographs from 2006 and four hundred from last year. Left alone, a book made from that is 70% recent, which is not what twenty years felt like.
Three ways to force it flat:
One spread per year. Twenty spreads, forty pages. The most disciplined option, and the one that makes the thin years visible in a way that is usually affecting rather than embarrassing.
Five sections of four years. Kinder to a decade with gaps in it, and it lets one spread cover 2008 to 2011 without that looking like an omission.
By place. The houses you lived in, in order. Works especially well for a marriage that moved cities, and it sidesteps the uneven-years problem entirely by not using years as the axis.

The captions matter more at twenty than at ten
At ten years everyone in the room remembers everything. At twenty, the children in the photographs are adults who do not remember being three, and the years before them are genuinely unknown to half the household.

What is the traditional twentieth anniversary gift? China. It is one of the years where the traditional list suggests nothing worth acting on.
Why is a twentieth anniversary book harder than a tenth? Because twenty years spans prints, early digital and phone photographs, and each of the three fails in a different way.
Can you print photos I received on WhatsApp? We can, but they have been compressed. Ask whoever took them for the original file — it makes a visible difference at print size.
