Choose a frame when presence is the job
When they are far away. For long distance, the object’s job is to occupy a room you are not in. A book in a drawer does not do that; something on a wall does.
When there is one obvious photograph. Some relationships have a single defining image. Blowing it up is the correct response and putting it in a book of sixty dilutes it.
